View NotesNOTES: I am the copyright holder and control this material, and expressly wish that it be distributed free of charge to anyone at anytime. Kindly keep it lossless! I don't know what they are, or where they come from but there are several tiny 'clicks throughout the KXLU portion of the show. Irritating through headphones, but just fine through speakers. The gig was recorded at 12:30 AM of May 5, 1998. George was late again. We were SUPPOSED to play at 11PM May 4th. The mix is a bit rough for the first track and a half or so, but then it's just fine. Same with the band. All tracks ripped from CDR with Freerip (freeware edition). The Dewey Bushmule Sesh itself was to be released both as a 4 song 7 inch vinyl 45rpm ep, as well as this expanded version. The joke being that there would be 4 songs and SIXTEEN bonus tracks. Sadly the dischord within the band rendered any serious discussions regarding an official release useless. Still, all in all I think this is some of ALL of our best work, certainly mine. I'm still saddened that we never got the chance to lay down full-bore studio versions of Unconditional and Birdies Are Singing. This KXLU recording is close as we're going to get. The other originals in the KXLU set are from our first cassette only ep (Pensiveness 1994), and our first full length CD release (Vida 1995). I never wanted our music to become a collectors item. I had always hoped to keep it as 'free' as possible, and in that spirit I offer you Vida: The Dewey Bushmule Sesh, complete and unedited. A special thanks to Derrick Bostrom. He transferred my DATs into CDRs a generation before such gear was availabe to the home consumer. Hope you like it.
