View NotesShow Notes: Opening for Soap! OK... So I need to preface this recording: On 5/4/2011 Useful Jenkins opened for Soap at the Cabooze. That fateful night, sometime during their set while I was not paying attention in a conversation about 6 feet away my laptop was stolen. On this night, 9/21/2011, my recording rig and I made their return to the back wall of The Cabooze. Dozens of lost recordings later and a new cable lock for my laptop, so it begins. To whomever that was way back then I still say "Fuc& You!" but time passes and so I will abide. Anyhoo... I've always had fun at Useful shows. They play damn fine tunes and really get a smile goin no matter your mood going in. All sorts of fun including a great, I'll call it a tease since they only played the intro, of Prince's Seven. If you listen closely you'll actually hear me singing the 4 (bottom) vocal part fairly well balanced in the recording (me 3 feet from my mics and they 20' away at the stage) Mmm... FUN! heh. I'm terrible at song titles so if anyone feels like posting the track names I'll update the archive page. Thanks! Enjoy! -Nate
