View NotesGreat set from Tortoise, just before debuting Beacons of Ancestorship. The Bell House made it explicit that stands were not allowed for this show, and indeed, no stands were present (including mine). Although somewhat of a bummer (especially given this band's longstanding support of taping), this recording is made from the optimal spot in the venue, dead center stage about 15ft FOB. The sound is excellent and crowd chatter during songs is virtually non-existent.
