Original master recording: Sony ECM-959 -> Denon DTR-80p (master @ 16/48) DAT playback: Sony R-500 -> Sound Devices 722 digital input (@24/48) Mastered: Soundforge Pro 10.0c - *All file manipulation in Soundforge done at 24 bits*. Applied slight volume normalization, clap removal. Sample rate conversion 48khz to 44.1khz using iZotope 64-Bit SRC set higher than "Highest Quality" setting w/anti-alias filter. Then dithered to 16 bits using using iZotope MBIT+ with Ultra noise shaping, with high dither settings. Tracked in CDWav.

Also on the bill: The Mother Sound, Pachamama, and All God's Children (a band that Andy Demos, Tiny Lights' drummer also played saxophone in). Tiny Lights was slotted between Pachamama and AGC. Right in the middle of "I Don't Enjoy Life" a woman steps up to the FOH sound engineer to tell him he's the best sound guy in NYC right into my mic. It's sort of funny. :-) Taper notes: Continuing my own personal Tiny Lights flood, BARN102 is Tiny Lights from a bill of NJ based jam/rock bands from the time held at the (now defunct) Lion's Den (now renamed "Sullivan Hall). I think all of the bands were based out of the New Brunswick area except for Tiny Lights who were based out of Hoboken. (I will post all of the music that I was able to turn up on this night at some point -- though I have not located the Mother Sound set as of yet). I can't find any info about the history of the band Pachamama, but recall REALLY liking their music -- my apartment-mate Phil at the time REALLY REALLY liked them. But I've got no clue what happened to them, what they are doing today, who was in the band, or anything. I've already gotten permission to post the All God's Children (featuring Andy Demos, Tiny Lights' drummer as the sax player!) set here on archive.org, so I'll post a link to that when I get to it. :-) Yes, I know that some of you are saying "What's up with all of this Tiny Lights?", but I only have a couple more sets of their music on DAT and want to get through it all ASAP! But for you faithful Tiny Lights fans out there, I've got to get through all of the DATs that I have of them ASAP because I want to hear this music I haven't heard in AGES! (There will be some cassette transfers eventually of a bunch of pre-'93 shows too). A couple of things make this show really unique -- it was just a week before the release of the Milky Juicy album, so they really featured songs from it...and it's got a few songs I don't believe I've ever heard any other time -- "Pull It Together" which doesn't appear on any Tiny Lights album but was only released as a b-side to single in 1993 (on white vinyl if I'm not mistaken), Shoulderback which is a HARD rockin' fast tune, a REALLY slow, unique version of "Pushin' The Button" that segues into an also slower-but-funkier-than-usual "Spinning". Also "Les is More" and "Yellow" are tunes I don't believe I'd ever seen them perform before or since. "Fishing Season" is a fun tune....and they finish things off with a short version of a true Tiny Lights classic "Red Planet". Enjoy!
