Lounge in the middle of the Hollywood Casino Columbus. Show was free. Ive taped openly in the past at this venue, but ran into a soundguy on a power trip who refused. His reasoning was due to the "Ohio Gaming Commission laws" (which btw, have nothing whatsoever in them about audio recording of live performances in casinos, but whatever)... I ran my stand and bag back to my car and just wired up my hat. My plan was to record from the front of the stage (hoping the monitors would be loud enough), but could barely hear Brian singing. Therefore, as soon as "I Can't Get You Off Of My Mind" finished, I walked back to center floor where I stood for the rest of the show. My CA-14's are now 6 & a half years old and I have used them A LOT. Unfortunately during this show, the wires began to show signs of wear and would crackle any time I checked my M10 deck or even brushed the cables near my pockets. I replaced these sections with dual mono patches, so it is barely noticeable.
