They played a really hot nearly one-hour set and hit the road for Mobile. I was happy to get this recording and I'll explain why. I thought the batteries that run my preamp were fully charged. Long story, short, they were not. So we used a clamp and ran the R-09 up on the mic stand and taped with the Edirol R-09's onboard mics. It came out a lot better than we expected and considering the alternative (no recording), I'll take it. I found the power supply to the UA-5 in the car and we were able to run the rig (Avantone CK-1 > Edirol UA-5 > R-09) for the rest of the festival. Wish I had figured out the problem sooner, but I didn't have time to walk to the van and get the power supply for this show. Lesson learned. Check out The Pollies when they come to town. You'll be pleasantly surprised. enjoy! MSTaper Tape > Share > Support!
