I was hoping to matrix captures from the SBD + stage + audience, with the audience capture provided by another live taper in attendance, but unfortunately there were issues with all captures except my backup mics. Great example of the importance of redundancy. There's a bit of distortion around the mid-lows- I'm thinking due to the mics placement so close to the stone walls of the venue, but it is hard to say, as it seems to disappear by halfway through the set. This recording is an interesting contrast to most of my other tapes, given that it is sourced solely from the back of the crowd. I generally try to capture the energy and reflections from closer to the stage. The crowd was very energized- at least an 8/10 if I had to quantify based on my attendance at 30-something tMG shows over the years, but it's not as easy to tell from this perspective.
