View NotesThis is the first show I ever recorded, and I am less displeased with the results than I expected to be. Note that there is a skip in the beginning of Linda Blair Was Born Innocent where I accidentally pulled the mic cord out of the recorder; I used Audacity to edit the gap in sound that resulted, and I don’t think the result is terribly jarring.

During the transfer process, I used Audacity for normalization and split the tracks in Fission. I did not utilize any compression as I had with the July 2005 solo rooftop shows that I have previously shared.

When John Vanderslice and members of Shearwater come onstage to fill out the band, the limitations of my microphones start to show, but the overall effect is not terribly offensive or unpleasant. At the end of the day, it appears that this may be the only recording of this show in existence, and I felt that it deserved to be documented, flaws and all.

During Jenny, John broke a string on his guitar. He continued singing the song accompanied only by Peter’s bass and handclaps from the audience.
