So like a good taper, I got there at 6:15 (doors at 7, show at 8) to smooth over any rough edges. It really didn't do much good. Nutshell version: "LS are broke down, I'm Rival Sons' manager, they might get here in 20 minutes, no one with their crew is here, you're not recording anything tonight" (paraphrased). Hmph...so after a bit of frantic calling, LS making the gig, and some fleet work from their new manager, audio and video permissions were secured...at 7:15. Soooooooooo, lets just say, I ran 3 decks, and got one with the complete set (the Zoom with internals). Pretty sure one Tascam (with Sonics) decided to pull the "time writeout" error thing at the very beginning, and I think the batteries died on the other one. And I had an extremely hot little lady from Indiana with me for a few days, and this was the first full day we hung out. So "1 deck, 3 cams" were achieved. The Souls played a short, tight, 30 minute incendiary set. Nice guitar work, and snappy rhythm. Met them oh-so-briefly and they were humble and kind. If you're into taping them, contact me and I can put you in touch with their "facilitator of fatalities". Then things really got strange. I was gonna stay and stealth audio RS (just because their manager was a grumpy bugger), but, lo and behold, Rival Sons decided to invite their friend, ***A POET***, to do a 'set between sets'. Seriously, at a RAWK show? I took one look at the hottie, out in the parking lot for a couple puffs of Alaskan kind, and "do you wanna go to the hotel in Huntsville?" That was a pretty easy answer.. #bangabangaBANG!!! So, no Rival Sons, sorry. They were a bunch of not-friendlies as is...oh well. He ain't in London, but he is a kind soul. Thanks be to Dennis for his uploading tenure. I'm just a button pusher...so just pissing off, as usual ---ballsdeep OUT!!!
