- missed all of set 1 and part of set 2
- 1st 2 recorded tracks recorded from a 4 ft table 20 ft back.  A good crowd but noisy, so I moved the mic to the front of the room resting it on the PA mixer located about 3 feet in front of the band, 3-4 feet off of center between the drums and keys.
- Because of the less than ideal mic location, adjusted stereo image in Pro-Tools and applied some EQ and compression.  Saxophone and vocals are still buried but improved from the original source.

Note about tracking:  I choose to cut downtime into separate tracks fairly regularly.  Thus you see tracks like Mic Movement (when I moved the mic), Song's in the Key of B (the Sir Duke intro), and 52 seconds (which is 52 seconds you don't need to hear).  Not all tapers track this way.  I prefer it, however.
