View NotesA very special gig by The Frames as part of Whelan's 25th Anniversary Celebrations. The band footed the bill for an open bar for the entire gig. Band Lineup: Glen Hansard Colm Mac Con Iomaire Joe Doyle Rob Bochnik Graham Hopkins Justin Carroll Guest Appearances: (1) w/ Danny O’Reilly (The Coronas) (2) Verses by Glen, Rob, Joe, Mundy, Danny O’Reilly, Mic Geraghty, Lisa O’Neill, Gerry McDonnell, Oisin Leech (3) Glen solo on Joe's bass (4) The Lost Brothers Not recorded due to mid-gig battery failure & necessary swapout: Lisa O'Neill song (Elvis I Give You Irish Stew) & successful marriage proposal to girlfriend by audience member. Audio quality: This is a passable audience recording of the gig, but not brilliant. Location of mics wasn't ideal (right beside Joe's monitor and right in front of Graham's drum kit with a rattly hi-hat). Closest PA was also buzzing at times. Glen's vocal is a bit low in the mix at times, but that probably couldn't be helped. Overall volume in the venue was VERY loud, and definitely pushed our mics to their limit. Audience noise is tolerable, as there wasn't too much chatter at the front. Myles O'Reilly (Arbutus Yarns) and his team videoed the entire show on DSLRs, so there will almost certainly be a video release of some if not all of the show with a desk feed to look forward to. In the interim, I hope this recording goes some of the way towards capturing what was an amazing gig that we were privileged to have witnessed. For burning to CD: Please download the lossless FLAC files and burn them to CD via http://www.burrrn.net/?page_id=4 or similar FLAC-compatible software. Please don't use the mp3s or Oggs to make audio CDs. The gig can be burned to 3 CDs via the following breakdown: Disc 1: Dance the devil > Fake/Everytime Disc 2: Revelate > Santa Maria Disc 3: The auld triangle > Where is my mind
