THE FLYING EYES Big Buttinski, Osnabrueck, Germany April - 06 - 2011 --- It's a SPACEBANDIT, so you're in there --- Rec. Info: OKM2R -> ZoomH2 (WAV 16/44) -> SD -> HD -> Soundengine (edit/remaster) -> WAV -> TLH8 -> FLAC -> DIME -> YOUR EARS AND MIND...STONED TO THE GROUND! Recorded by your truly sitting comfortably on a barstool, equipment on a bartable at app. 5 meters from stage center. Glory and success to those locations you can tape that way!!! --- THE FLYING EYES - one of my personal favourites. What more to say? This time closer to my home sofa than I'll ever get them again (just an half hour car drive, I could've done that easily by walking, hahaha!). Having a nice chat here and there with them cause they are very very audience and TAPER friendly. Looking foward to seeing them in the late fall, when they come back here in Germany. Meanwhile, you american DIMERS get your ass in gear, cause they play shows in yours/their country in May/June/July. Go ahead, support this fine young band! Go and show'em that american audiences love them as much as german do! I'd ask them - in joking - about the guest list on their first MSG NYC show. I hope they'll not forget about me, when they'll jump up on the upward spiral to musical eternity. Hmmmm...Future daze...Eggzactly... Anyway having a good time, besides some really annoying chatter during my beloved singing saw jam opening "Done so wrong", there's nothing bad to be said about the recording served to you. Final words to my final show of THE FLYING EYES Spring Tour in Germany is... ENJOY!!! ENJOY!!! ENJOY!!! THE FLYING EYES boiling at Big Buttinski, again... Will Kelly - lead vocals harp Mac Hewitt - bass and feedbacks Adam Bufano - lead guitars, slide and saw Elias Schutzman - drums, harp, tambourine ect. FROM BALTIMORE, MARYLAND WITH SOME RAVENS SEND BY E.A.POE... FULL SHOW (69:27 min.) 01. Intro - > Winter (6:24) 02. Red sheets (3:33) 03. Lay with me (6:34) 04. Poison the well (3:56) 05. Overboard (4:28) 06. Death don't make me cry (3:33) 07. Tuning/Hat payment call (2:00) 08. New song (On my own way) (3:45) 09. Saw jam -> Done so wrong (8:20) 10. Greed (5:44) 11. Encore tuning/Hat payment call (2:09) 12. The flying burn pilot eyes freakout stoner jam (18:59) * Overboard has an unsual string/harp opening! ** Hat payment call: No admission fee, but you can pay what the performance's worth for yourself. Collected by Carsten, the owner, thru a HAT, where you could put bills in. I mean BILLS, no coins. I won't tell you how much I spent, but a nod from him showed me it's ok. Sigh. Track 12 is something special, as the two bands THE FLYING EYES and BURN PILOT morphed into one, with member going up and off the stage. I was really surprised how good the quite different sound of both melted together. They really had a good time on this far out stoner space rock improvisation piece of music.
