View Notesthanks to the taper. Tab Benoit - vocals, guitars Leon Medica - bass, vocals David Peters - drums Tech notes: Recorded immediately in front of the amps using a set of Sound Professionals Premium Binaurals plugged into a Sony MZ-NF610 MiniDisc Recorder. Transferred digitally. Playback on Sony MDS-JE510 into ADS Tech Instant Music box (via fibre optic line) into my computer (via USB). Recorded in real time using SoundForge. Editing (fades) using Cool Edit Pro. Chopped up into individual tracks using CD Wave Editor. Encoded into FLAC Level 7 (w/ sector boundry align, if necessary) using Trader's Little Helper. NOTES FROM TAPER: This is where I got a little too close to the amps, while in search of the best location for recording. I was right in front of the bass cabinets, with the house amp suspended above. The close proximity caused intense vibrations that can wreak havoc with MiniDisc recorders. Fortunately, I had utilized bass roll off in my mics which saved the day. Also, thank God for earplugs, which saved my hearing. Performance-wise, I was very impressed and would certainly suggest and promote Tab Benoit as a fine live act to see. I managed to snap a few photos, which I am including with this torrent.
