Taper Notes:
View NotesThe Emerson is a beautiful old school auditorium that's ideal for live music. The crowd was out early and many folks were in costume for this pre-Halloween gig as there was a costume contest at setbreak with winners including The Swedish Chef, an old grey Greek statue, and (I believe) Marie Antoinette; others included Princess Leia & Han Solo, Popeye & Olive Oyl, Mister Earth, and Scoobey Doo among others. Kicking off the evening, the Portland, OR-based band Fruition came out dressed in prisoner stripes and played a powerful opening set to an enthusiastic crowd. The 'Dusters restrained themselves (barely) by wearing neon frameless glasses (costumes reserved for the next night in Missoula) and played two POWERFUL sets that included a number of songs from the new CD 'Silver Sky' and many seriously jammed-out originals to a jumoing, dancing, singing & shouting house full of happy Bozone residents. Can the 'Dusters come back to Big Sky Country soon enough? I think not! See for yourself, and as always, ENJOY!
