View NotesThis was a completely crazy night with a 45 song set performed by what can best be described as The Minus 5, Robyn Hitchcock and friends. And this was *after* the 10 song set of the Peter Buck Band which I will upload seperately, so all in all a 55 song show this evening..... The friends included artists such as Steve Wynn, Mike Mills (R.E.M.) and Ed Kowalczyk (from the band 'Live'). Everyone seemed to play with everyone and swap instruments so I've uploaded this all as one set. The recording isn't perfect unfortunately as - despite the weather being fantastic for the audience - it was difficult to record, quite a strong breeze blew through the courtyard of the Hotel California which, despite the windscreens on my mics, would have been picked up on my recording and ruined it (I tested this beforehand). I had to resort to recording this show from the balcony of my hotel room - this was a little further away from the stage and as I had to shield the microphones from the wind the sound was a little bit less than direct. So - all in all the quality isn't the same as the recordings from the previous nights, I have tried to get it to sound as good as possible - I have attached samples so you can judge yourself. The setlist is absolutely fabulous, the guys kept playing for hours and the atmosphere was great. We saw 'nearly' an R.E.M. reunion with Peter, Mike, Scott and Bill performing Rockville and Superman and we got to witness Mike Mills playing several songs on drums!
