Taper Notes:
View NotesAlphonso Johnson (Alphonso Antonio Johnson) - bass Steve Kimock - guitars Bobby Lee Rodgers - acoustic guitar, electric banjo Pete Lavezzoli - drums Source: AKG 451's > Zoom H5 Location: Mics were about 1 foot from the left side PA Great sound! Recorded & Transferred by: Mike Buzzeo Mike Buzzeo NOTES: --This is a review of the show: "Superlatives won’t sufficiently convey the level of intensity, emotion, dexterity & proficiency that was on display tonight…and not only by the musicians. Our TM/FOH (Larry) mix could not have been better…our stage manager chief tech (Delacey) could not have been better. Everyone was beaming as they came off the stage & the audience levitated out of the theater…they’ll never be the same. What Bobby did to "Terrapin" on the banjo was beyond belief. Al’s tone & rhythmic offsets were astonishing. Pete worked his sticks like he was driving a 16 wheeler to Neptune…& Steve? He took us to The Happy Place…" vanillag NOTES (2/6/2023): --Thanks so much to Mike Buzzeo for recording & sharing this Jazz Is Dead 2023 show. Absolutely Appreciated & a great pull!! --I corrected some song titles toward how they appear on the original albums --added some more detail to the setlist & band member info --created an ffp checksum file --added the ffp fingerprints to the text file --added some nice pics of the venue
