Notes: My first time seeing them with Jack Daly on bass. The band has a new album recorded but not yet released and they played 4 of the new songs. "Boombox" sounds like nothing they've ever recorded before. I like the witty lyrics of "Double Parked". "Rock and Roll Heaven" is tribute to their musical forefathers. In terms of the old material, my pick for best song of the night is their version of "'Bout A Train" for a down and dirty blues romp. "Off My Line" was great and rockin', as were "Freeway Of The Plains" (sans bass intro) and "Lady Kerosene". "Yo Mama's A Pajama" was a perfect way to let us blow it out in the encore before we went home. Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds opened the show.
