View NotesHey everybody. I finally found a bit of time to upload a show. This one was from the HORDE tour stop in Live Oak, Florida. This was, for those who aren't familiar, a tour put together by the band Blues Traveler. The tour, called HORDE (Horizons of Rock Developing Everywhere), focused on catering to bands who had profound improvisational skills, like themselves, Soul Coughing, and others. 

Neil Young was on the tour in 1997, and allegedly, "Soul Coughing" as a band name was a Neil Young reference of some sort. (The true Cough Drops know what I mean...) Neither comment on that fact was offered by either party. 

At this particular show, there was a scheduling mishap with another band scheduled to play. Something happened and they needed someone to fill space. This is why Soul Coughing wound up playing two sets here, since they'd just wrapped up opening their show and all their equipment was still on stage. "The band that's so nice, they get to play twice", as the vivacious announcer in a loquatious manner put it....

I am so sorry that I seldom get time to upload stuff here. I have a big load of CDs and tapes to put here. I tried once but the CD drive on my computer broke. I used a friend's computer here. 

I've been in touch with Mat, you know, THE Mat, owner of SCUG and all that good stuff, and I've been trying to get access to whatever he may have to add to my personal collection and upload here too. Both of us are busy guys, so nothing fruitful has come of it hitherto. I have great hope that he and I will converse in the future and make this happen.
