Can you guys believe it's been 20 years? I chose today to upload of all days for the nostalgia effect. 

This was a show for SLAW, the show program Mike Doughty (at that time, he went by "M Doughty"...) to emulate the hip hop club Giant Step. In The Book Of Drugs, Doughty talks about how normally, he'd call 200 people, and 20 would show up. This was the Soul Coughing show that he was ready to give up, and called no one. To his surprise (and chagrin), 50 people showed up. 

Most of these songs showed up on the Ruby Vroom disc. 

"Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" is to the tune/music of "I'm Livin' On Babyfood" by Soul Coughing. I personally find this rendition hilarious.

PLEASE NOTE: Many cuts from this show were included in the 2004 album release, "LIVE RARITIES". This was an official release on the Kufala Recordings label, a set of 5 discs released at once, curated by Mark Degli Antoni. Lately, I've noticed that these recordings were removed from iTunes as of a few months ago. I don't know if they were pulled by the label, the band or by iTunes. To elucidate, these recordings are extremely hard to find on hard copy new. I would recommend purchasing them because they are available for purchase.... but these are very hard to find, especially since they've been removed. Please support the band. They have families with mouths to feed. I do not have the intent to infringe copyright, solely to share and embrace the irrefutable beauty of the coolest band of all time. 

And on that note, enjoy, the sounds of 20 years ago today!

I have over 50 bootlegs that have not seen the light of day on the internet yet. I am a busy guy, but stay tuned, I've been uploading them one at a time, slowly but surely.
