--this venue opened in 1998 as "Northern Lights" (1998 thru 2012-05-17) (it was also known as "Northern Lights Clifton Park");  then "Upstate Concert Hall" (2012-05-18 thru August 2021)...then, in August of 2021, the venue moved to nearby Albany at 93 North Pearl Street & was renamed "Empire Live" & "Empire Underground," a 2-floor multi-genre performance venue (2021-08-26 thru present [2026])...this venue is also commonly known as "Northern Lights Albany"
