View NotesFirst time seeing the Pumpkins, what a show! I had been aware that The Smashing Pumpkins allowed audio recording, but not microphone stands. The 930 Club does not allow people to clamp onto the railing at the balcony or use any sort of stand on the floor up there... so in this pickle of a situation I slung my bag over the knob on the top of the railing and clamped onto my bag, with the mic's popping out through the slots in the railing. After a bit,m security came over to make sure I wasn't clamped onto their balcony, and once they saw that I wasn't, I was green-light'ed and ran without interference for the whole show. Thanks to 930 for being accommodating, and thanks to Daphney, for taking me to the show! During track three ("Panoptico"), I noticed the batteries failing in my Littlebox (Preamp). I ended up missing about 7minutes of the set during which time I left the venue and sped to 7-11 several block away, illegally parked, bought a battery, sped back, and replace my battery. Luckily there was another taper present who was kind enough to supply me with a copy of his 24/96 source so that I could create a patch. In Sony Vegas Pro 9.0, I crossfaded out my audio and faded in his, so from about 3:38 into my track 3, then lasting through the start of track four and up until about the 6:40 mark in track 4 ("Starla"), you are hearing his audio exclusively. His source info is provided below, and he was standing directly next to me (DFC lower balcony), wearing his microphones. A million thanks to Craig "Cabbage" Kabis not only for helping me with tracking and song titles, but moreover for providing your source for a patch in my audio! CRAIG'S SOURCE Source: Sennheiser Micro Madness MMHLSC.II > battery box > internal memory on Sony PCM-M10. Editing: I pulled down the high-end quite a bit in Craig's source to have it flow a little more smoothly with the sound I pulled from my source.
