Taper Notes:
View NotesThis was a secret acoustic show for about 150 people. Tickets were available via competitions on the web sites of Warner Records Germany and RBB Radio Eins. The right microphone was pointed to the PA speaker, the left microphone was pointed to the stage and therefore picked up less sound than the right mic. I have mixed the right channel into the left channel to compensate for that. This is the 16-bit version of this recording.

Upon increasing the levels, it revealed a TON of hiss. Major surgery was performed on these 7 to closely match the rest of the set. - An effort was made to fix the problem with audience clapping between songs. Anyone who has either source knows how bad it was. Yea the music sounded good, but as soon as people start clapping on the recording it was so much louder that it would kill your ears. It's much better now. - Both sources have been EQ'd, maximized, and limited for your listening pleasure. You should find this version to be a vast improvement over what is currently clogging up your hard dr

View Noteshello world and WOW! I'm still amazed... TSP played a secret acoustic gig in Berlin yesterday. Around 200 people in a small theatre of the Berlin Zitadelle (citadel). The castle where old nazi R.Hess was prisoned until his death. I was lucky to get a ticket (...) and I saw an amazing show! but recording was difficult! sitting on the right side of the stage, with my shoulder pointing to the PA. 30 sec before the start, the seat next to me was taken by a latecomer. who turned out to be a loud clapper... you can hear my comment on the tape.. I used the OKM IIr first hand, but learned fast that that was the wrong discission. tracks 1-8 suffer from very low levels and therefore sound hissy after pushing it a bit. the good quality part of the recording starts at track 9 on disc 1, after I switched to the classic OKM. I would rate the IIr part far below average, and the IIc part nearly excellent. I hope that a different recording will show up in the future. will provide some mp3 samples as soon as possible. the show was sponsored by local RADIO1 and one of their DJ's, Anja Kaspary, handeled some moderation. after the show there was some questions and answers, which turned out quiet funny. the setlist was taken from the stage and fits with the number of songs played. I'm not that expert on TSP, so there could be failures in there. the planned encore 'Zeitgeist' was not played. Tonight is the regular (electric) concert at the Columbiahalle. enjoy!
