Taper Notes:
View NotesSet One was an acoustic set. * with Warren Haynes & Allen Woody of Govt Mule. ** with Warren Haynes. SCI played an acoustic set at dusk, then played their electric set after Govt Mule's evening show around midnight. Split D2 & D3 at only logical break. Sector boundaries verified with shntool. Notice the Star Wars teases throughout? Color covers included for this show. note: The disc splits on the cover don't exactly match the text file so use the cover if you want and delete it if you don't. Enjoy! -Brian EDITING NOTES: 08/23/02-Resampled in SF 5.0 - Level 4 (highest) using anti-alias filter. Crossfaded break between acoustic set and electric set. Tried like hell to fit all this on two discs but came up 1 too long for the second disc. I tried a little different text file format this time. Please give your comments. I also put all tracks in a single directory. FLAC compression (this will eventually succeed .shn) does not require subdirectories so I've decided to follow the same directory format. Comments? 2/2/2003 - Fixed nit as noted by Shaun and Brad in d1t05 @ 5:30. SCIEVAL GROUP REVIEW NOTES: ************************************ Reviewed by Shaun Funk - 1/7/2003 ------------------------------- Review: Very nice show. The best of the 3 night run, I'd have to say. Only one nit at d1t4 5:30. Could be a little digi-noize. Hard to tell. Anyway it's between songs so that makes it even less significant. Thumbs up from me. Thanks to Brian Cole for transferring these and getting them on trainwreckz. Shaun Funk's vote: Thumbs Up. Reviewed by Brad Leblanc - 2/1/2003 ------------------------------- Review: Yet another Stubbs show that makes me wish I could have been there. The Cheese loves Austin, TX. Really short acoustic set to start the show out. After hearing Work, I gotta say I miss that song. It really isn't in the rotation any longer having only made 2 appearances in 2002. Before Lester HAC, the band teases the Star Wars theme a few times. Again in Chili Dawg you can hear Kyle tease it on his accordian. Pretty amusing. I seem to recall Brian raving about this version of San Jose as a closer. It didn't disappoint, the "You Can Call Me Al" tease at around 07:20 is really good and got me going. Makes me wish that they would cover the whole song. :) As always, Kyle does a great job. Nits: I could only find one area that requires our attention, and Shaun mentioned it too - at 05:30 on d1t4 there's a digi-skip/pop that needs removal or softening. Besides that, I'm happy with it. Two thumbs up if we can remove it. -Brad Brad Leblanc's vote: Thumbs Up.
