Sector Boundaries verified in shntool. Fixed multiple level imbalances. See Review&EditNotes.txt file for more info. Color cover included for this show courtesy of Larry Fox. EDITING NOTES: 2/2/2003-Sliced, diced, normalized, and EQ'd Little Hands in every place mentioned below by Brad. There are still problems with this file but all in all it's quite a bit better than the original version on dat. There is still noticeable clipping at 2:53 until 3:05 or so,and there are level change adjustments still noticeable at 8:55 and 12:35 as well as small residule from some of the previous problems. PA pops in Shine at 00:28 were removed and are no longer noticeable. SCIEVAL GROUP REVIEW NOTES: ************************************ Reviewed by Shaun Funk - 1/2/2003 ------------------------------- Pretty nice show but I have a couple of complaints. It wouldn't be like me if I didn't find something wrong. Little Hands ( d1t2 ) has a half dozen or more channel fluctations. Both channels go down around 9:00 and then everything seems to settle down. I did not hear any other nits throughout the two discs. Problem number two. Segue between Shine and BBB is across discs. I understand why, but I still don't agree. Yes it will add an extra disc. Disc one will only be two songs, but it will still be around 35 min long. I think the text file should be laid out telling people how to burn this onto three discs and not break any segues. The text file could also included an alternate tracking which will result in only two discs, with the caveat that a segue will be busted. Fix the text file and I'll give it thumbs up. Until then... Shaun Funk's vote: Further Review Reviewed by Brad Leblanc - 2/1/2003 ------------------------------- Review: Another nice show. Little Hands has a really, really funky section courtesy of Senor Mosely beginning at 6:23 with Billy laying down some guitar over it. During Blackberry Blossom, I thought I heard a tease of the Flecktones "Lochs of Dread", however I haven't confirmed that yet. For the technical stuff, my most major concern is the numerous level adjustments during Little Hands - Shaun notes these too. They royally suck. I wrote down a few times: 00:42 02:57 05:37 06:01 08:53 However, it's obvious this is on Larry's tapes and I'm at a loss on what to do to amend this. I really don't think we can do anything. The only other problem that I think should be noted is the serious popping at 00:28 in Shine (d1t6 right now). It obviously coming through the PA since you can hear a few people react to it and there's a small amount of echo. I don't think we should soften those, just note it as coming from the PA in the info file. I also agree regarding the disc splits. This one should be a 3 disc show to prevent splitting up segues, with the current 2 disc tracking as an alternative. I think that should be standard for all tracking we do. We'll have to rename the SHN's as a result of doing this. Thumbs up vote cause I know we're going to fix the info file. That's all I have for now. -Brad Brad Leblanc's vote: Thumbs Up.
