Resampled in SF 5.0 - Level 4 (highest) using anti-alias filter. Started Mouna Bowa at first hint of guitar riff. Debated whether to keep slide jam as it's own track but decided to put it on the same track as Missin' Me. Would have tracked it at 10:03. There was some chatting at the beginning of the encore so I put it as it's own track. Included long intro on superstition due to encore jam session. Enjoy! -Brian String Cheese Incident Wednesday, 5/5/1999 Arcadia Theatre Dallas, TX Source: Earthworks SR71>Graham Patten DMic 20>Sony M1>DAT (48khz) Conversion: Sony M1>Oade 7 pin-coax>Hosa coax> Zoltrix Pro6>CDwav(split)>SF5(resample/edit)>MKWact>shnv3 Editing Notes: Brian Cole ([email protected]) Review Notes: TBD EDITING NOTES: 08/11/02-Resampled in SF 5.0 - Level 4 (highest) using anti-alias filter. Started Mouna Bowa at first hint of guitar riff, did not include noodling before guitar riff on same track. Debated whether to keep slide jam as it's own track but decided to put it on the same track as Missin' Me. Would have tracked it at 10:03. Kept huge Voodoo Chile segue together as one track. IMO splitting this up would also require splitting up slide jam. There was some chatting at the beginning of the encore so I put it as it's own track. Started track at beginning of banter. Included long intro on superstition due to encore jam session. It seemed to go with the 'atmosphere' of the show and splitting it into a separate track didn't seem to be necessary. 02/08/2003 - Fixed nits noted by Brad & Shaun as noted below betwee the "**" d1t3 - 10:37 - some slight digifuzz **softened** d1t3 - 13:13 - slight pop. **too small to fix** d2t1 - 06:35 - digiskip during the end of footprints **softened** d2t2 - 00:48 - digiskip **L channel too small to fix)** d2t4 - 02:14 - digiskip (maybe, it was small) **too small to fix** d3t3 - 00:23 - skip **from PA?** SCIEVAL GROUP REVIEW NOTES: ************************************ Reviewed by Brad LeBlanc - 10/07/2002 ------------------------------- Simply a stellar sounding recording, and a wonderful show as well. I really enjoyed listening to this one. Thanks Brian! The band seemed to be having a great time on stage this evening. At times the crowd comes through a bit noisy, but for the most part they're drowned out by the band. Jamie adds a nice little kick to many of the songs. Voodoo > Jingo > Voodoo - all I can say is "Holy cow." Same with the Texas. I love how you can hear the crowd yell when Billy sings "You sure can drink a lot of beer underneath that Texas sun." A 50 minute encore too! Kinda cool how Alan Woody made Keith's bass sound so different than when Keith played. Not better, just different. Regarding the new info file formatting, I like it Brian. There wasn't anything wrong with the previous ones, but I think it's an improvement. Nits: d1t2 - 8:35 into the song, it seems like the taper adjusts a level somewhere and the sound rounds out a bit more just as ROTR is finishing off (starts in the left channel and moves to the right, it takes about 2 seconds). It's funny, because I listened to the whole track thinking to myself "great recording", and then you hit that point and it sounds even better. A shame that couldn't have been fixed earlier. No attempt should be made to fix it, but it should be noted. d1t3 - 10:37 - some slight digifuzz. Hard to notice, not worth removing. d1t3 - 13:13 - slight pop. d2t1 - 06:35 - digiskip during the end of footprints d2t2 - 00:48 - digiskip d2t4 - 02:14 - digiskip (maybe, it was small) Conclusion: If the pop in d1t3 is verified by another set of ears, maybe we should try removing it. The digiskips kinda cath you a little, but they aren't that bad and if they are on the master wave's then the only way to fix those is to retransfer the tapes. Too much work for too small an issue. 2 thumbs up for a seed that will instantly be a classic to me. -Brad Vote: Thumbs Up Reviewed by Shaun Funk - 11/14/2002 ------------------------------- Fun show. Crowd is a little overbearing at times. Nice sounding otherwise. Some nits: d1t2 8:30 mild channel swapping d2t1 6:35 skip d3t3 0:23 skip Text file says that d2t3 is Voodoo > Jingo >Voodoo > Can't You See Jam. There's definitely no Jingo, and I think calling that jam Can't You See is quite a stretch. I'll give it a thumbs up. Vote: Thumbs Up Enjoy! -Brian
