Neumann TLM-170 (cardoids, FOB, center ~30 feet from stage) -> Sound Devices 722 (@24/96); FLAC File processing in SoundForge Pro 10.0d (volume normalization; resample to 44.1 with iZotope 64-Bit SRC set higher than "Highest Quality" setting w/anti-alias filter; 24->16 bit dither using iZotope MBIT+ Dither with Ultra noise shaping, High dither settings; major clap removal, minor spot-focused EQ to tamp down onstage feedback + loud nearby screamers); Tracked in CDWav.

View Notes* = w/"Superstition" intro & outro + = w/young girl, invited from the audience, on vocals ^ = super extended drum solo in the middle due to the kick drum pedal breaking Paul Tabatchnick opened (but I did not tape his set) I had to do some MAJOR clap removal on this recording, due to some zealous folks clapping right near my mics during a few songs (especially Send Me On My Way and Ecstasy). In general this manual work that I did should not be audible to anyone, and in fact should vastly increase your listening enjoyment, as it is no fun to have someone clapping loudly in your ears over the music. Here's a rundown of the very very tedious work I did on this recording to bring it up to my standards: T3(scrubbed 18 claps), T4(2 claps), T5(3 claps + EQ to minimize one bad spot of feedback), T6(31 claps), T7(EQ to minimize 5 piercing audience screams), T8(17 claps + 1 piercing wail), T9(1 clap), T11(6 claps), T12(73 claps!), T13(25 claps), T14(3 claps, 1 spot of feedback), T15(3 claps, 2 spots of feedback), T16(18 claps), T17(49 claps + 1 yell), T119(78 claps!)
