Schoeps mk4/cmc6xt -> Sonosax SX-M2 -> Apogee Mini-Me -> Sound Devices 744T -> WAV (@24/96); WAV -> SoundForge Pro 10.0c (normalize, fades) -> CDWav -> FLAC
Taper Notes:
View Notes* w/ Eric Krasno on guitar # w/ James Casey on tenor sax Note: On this evening I was testing for the first time a recently purchases Sonosax preamp (the second Sonosax in my gear bag) that had some obvious problems with the right channel. The preamp overloaded/brickwalled the right channel even though I wasn't near clipping the front-end of the preamp. As a result, this recording is less then stellar. Based on this experience and further testing of various pieces of hardware at home the following day, I deemed there to be a problem with this Sonosax and I returned the preamp to the person who sold it to me for a refund. I don't recommend that you download this recording due to the above, but since the LMA is part of my data redundancy plan I've posted the show here. The normal 16 bit version of this recording is available for streaming and download/CD burning here: http://archive.org/details/rrfb2012-11-21.cmc64.flac16 Special thank to Pete Costello & Pete Shapiro for the guestlist +1.
