View NotesRobert Hunter - acoustic guitar, harmonica, vox Lineage: SBD > MSC > C(1) > C(2) TDK SA-X 100 IEC II/Type II High Bias > Denon DRM-500 ( Dolby B ) > PC via USB > Cubase LE ( Splits, Edits, 24/96 ) > TLH > FLAC8 Transfer on October 1, 2022 by L. Shore L. Shore Notes: --"Help!" is the song by the Beatles, not "Help On the Way" --Known faults: --------levels are hot/ clipping is noticeable in spots --------Beginning of "Box Of Rain" is cut --------Beginning of "Candyman" is cut (I don't think "Candyman" was even played at this show...see vg NOTES below--vg) --------Drop out in "Truckin'" vanillag NOTES (10/20/2022): --BIG, BIG thanks to whomever originally recorded this & shared it out & to L. Shore for transferring his copy for all of us to enjoy. Absolutely!! --This version is Dolby B encoded --"Box Of Rain" starts near the end of the 2nd verse right at this moment: "...you want me to do, To watch for you while you're sleeping? Then please don't be surprised when you find me dreaming too" --L. Shore listed the first track of Set 2 as "Candyman > New Speedway Boogie", but I don't belive that "Candyman" was played here. The reason is that Robert was not doing these 2 tunes as a segue medley on this tour (Like "Mr.Charlie > Easy Wind", for instance) & there are also many other setlists around this show on this tour where it documents that he kicked off Set 2 with simply "New Speedway Boogie." The reason I theorize that L. Shore listed Candyman there is that where it cuts in, I admit that the way Robert phrases the lyric "Who can deny?" it does sound like he says candyman there, so L. Shore maybe thought that was the tail end of "Candyman", but it's really the 4th verse of "New Speedway Boogie". Y'all feel me?? Unless someone can confirm 100% that "Candyman" was played before "NSB" there...if it was, it's completely missing here, but I say it was not. --"New Speedway Boogie" cuts in near the beginning of the 4th verse at this moment: "...Who can deny? It's not just a change in style, One step done and another begun..." --House Of Blues Sunset Strip opened in 1994 & closed its doors on 2015-08-07. --The building’s iconic tin water tower is reportedly built from scraps of a gin mill that was once near the crossroads where Robert Johnson is said to have made his fateful deal with the Devil. There was a box of gen-u-ine Mississippi mud bolted to the bottom of the stage to ground each act on the spirit of the South, too. A hotel now stands in its place. --https://www.lamag.com/citythinkblog/sunset-strip-house-of-blues-closing-to-make-way-for-big-new-hotel-thing/ --I added more detail to the venue info --I added some more detail to the setlist --corrected some song titles toward how they appear on the original albums --added the band member info --added the ffp fingerprints to the text file --added tasty pics of the venue
