View NotesBob Weir (Robert Hall Weir) - guitar, vox Jay "Rhino Boy" Lane - drums, percussion, cajón, b.vox Robin Sylvester - bass, stand up bass, b.vox Jeff Chimenti (Jeffrey Chimenti) - keys, b.vox Kenny Brooks (aka 'Ken Brooks') - saxophones Mark Karan - guitar, b.vox **=w/ Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay (Donna Jean Thatcher Godchaux-MacKay) - vox #=w/ Jimmy Herring - guitar vg NOTES (2026-05-04): --https://ratdog.org/2005-11-16/photos --https://ratdog.org/2005-11-16/reviews --this fileset ends abruptly at 10:20 into S2T05 ("Estimated Prophet")...no idea if this is even the actual end of that tune or not, but this is how the fileset was shared on LL...by all accounts of the shnid & the way that the original text file was presented, the entire show from this source does seem to exist, but I don't have it...if anyone out there has the rest of this & can get it to me , I'll be happy to upload the rest, etc. --Mark Karan's 450th Show --RatDog played a 2-night run here at the Variety Playhouse - 2005-11-15+16 --this show started at 8:30pm --I added the band members info --corrected some song titles toward how they appear on the original albums --added more detail to the setlist info & venue info --this building was built & began its life in 1940 as a cinema named "Euclid Theatre" (1940-10-04 thru 1962-07-31); it was then suddenly 'Closed for Repairs' "for a few days" yet it never reopened (the exact circumstances of the closing are not known) - during this time it sat dormant & at one point it was a warehouse for plumbing supplies (1962-08-01 thru 1983); in 1982, a renovation started of the then 42-year-old building (which would eventually cost $250,000) & another cinema opened on 1984-10-04 named "Ellis Cinema" (1984-10-04 thru 1988-08-08); then the building was renovated again (at a cost of $100,000) & it became a live performance venue named "Variety Playhouse" & opened on 1989-06-23 (1989-06-23 thru present [2026]) --https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variety_Playhouse --https://www.variety-playhouse.com/ --added pics of the venue & 1 of the marquee for the show
