A rather small amount of null space was deleted between a few tracks in SET I so that the set (less the outro) would fit on an 80 minute disc.

ADDENDUM: A few folks have reported that they are unable to do overburns and are having problems burning disc 1 (even though I mastered it to squeeze down to exactly 79:58.000 so that it would be just at 80:00 with the 2 second orange book standard lead-in). In the future I will be more conservative and master discs to 79:58 or less. Meanwhile I have a few suggested solutions:
For starters make sure you're using quality media (which typically means Made in the USA or Japan as most quality 700MB CDRs can burn well over 80min, possibly as much as 82min).
1. Figure out how to get your software to do an overburn (possibly it's an option or preference to check) or else try using other software. I know Goldenhawk's CDRWin burns this disc, I think Nero will and perhaps Feurio as well.
2. See if you can burn it without the 2 second lead-in. It won't be to orange book standards but if it burns and plays for you, at least you have a listenable copy; however, I ask that you do not circulate non-standard copies.
3. Use software that allows you to edit a .WAV file and cut out the first 1 or 2 seconds as necessary. However the only way to do this without producing a disc with Sector Boundary Errors (SBEs) on every subsequent track change (i.e. the whole disc in this case!) is to delete full sectors from the start of the track/file. A sector is comprised of 588 samples which is 1/75th of a second. A good wave editor will allow you to toggle the display to show samples rather than real time. First highlight the first ~2 seconds of music, then toggle to display bits, and I suggest you adjust the selection to be deleted to be 88,200 samples which should remove the first 150 samples. Delete the selection, consider adding a new fade-in for the (now) first few seconds and save the file. Finally, it is best to run shn-tool http://www.etree.org/shnutils/shntool/ to check for, and if necessary, correct any resulting SBEs.
4. Find a friend who can burn it for you and buy him or her a drink at your next show.
