SBD+AUD Matrix (approx. 55% SBD + 45% AUD)
Taper Notes:
View NotesMIXDOWN NOTES: To start, this was an amazing AUD recording by SonicSound and flawless. The SBD source was a little low so it was amplified by track on average of +3.5db to a maximum level of -3.0db. The AUD level was brought down an average of -4.0db per track to a maximum level of -3.0db. Each track was synced individually then aligned into 1 continuous WAV per set. There were some very small portions of crowd missing from the SBD source between songs and the AUD fills these in. They are not noticeable. There was also significant static at the start of D2T04 present on both sources most likely from the PA. It was pretty bad as it was a large spike so I lowered the levels during the static to a more suitable level. It is only about 2 seconds of noise so I decided to keep it in the mix instead of cutting it out completely. The SBD source also suffered from the same "clicking" sound as the other SBD's of this run have. I did my best to suppress these by mixing the AUD a little hotter and running click removal. It worked pretty good but there are still some places it is noticeable more than others. All mixing and minor equalizing were done using Audacity. Tracking was done using Wavepad, and Flac conversion and sector boundary alignment were done using xACT. Overall I feel this turned out pretty nice and is a good listen and has a nice "Full" sound to it. I really enjoyed doing this project as this was a very fun show with some great energy throughout. IMO highlights are Pride of Cucamonga & St. Stephen->Eleven->Lovelight Completed August 7, 2008 By: ekoostikal - [email protected] ~Enjoy!!
