Absolutely Appreciated & a very strong capture, indeed!! --this band was also lovingly referred to as 'Phil Lesh Quintet' or 'PLQ' or "the Q' --"Terrapin Station - A Grateful Dead Family Reunion" - artists who played this event: --------Saturday, 2002-08-03 (from start to finish): Warren Haynes; Donna the Buffalo; the Disco Biscuits; Phil Lesh & Friends; Robert Hunter; Mickey Hart & Bembe Orisha; the Other Ones --------Sunday, 2002-08-04 (from start to finish): Robert Randolph & the Family Band; Jorma Kaukonen & Blue Country; Karl Denson's Tiny Universe; the Trichromes; RatDog; Robert Hunter; the Other Ones --as a curious & sad side note, Vince Welnick also infamously played "Terrapin Station - A Grateful Dead Family Reunion" in an unofficial capacity along with the band Terrapin Space Band (that comprised of members of Terrapin Flyer, Dark Star Orchestra, Cornmeal, Speargrass, the Schwag)...they performed a pre-event show that Friday night (2002-08-02) at Thai Joe's Bangkok Orchid in Milwaukee, WI & a post-event show that Monday night (2002-08-05) at Wise Fools Pub in Chicago, IL. During the actual weekend, they showed up, set up & played shows in the campground area for free (I believe late night shows). Vince soooooooo wanted to be a part of this event, but was completely cold-shouldered & ignored by the rest of the Grateful Dead members & the management & the organization...they had their reasons, of course, as Vince was completely out of his mind at this point & totally erratic, airing his troubled marriage dirty laundry in front of everyone all the time & had already attempted suicide on the RatDog bus during his stint with them in late-1995. Sweet guy on one side, but very troubled guy on the other side & very sadly ended his own life in a brutal way on 2006-06-02. RIP Vince --I corrected some titles toward how they appear on the original albums --added the band members info --added more detail to the setlist --added more detail to the venue info --https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpine_Valley_Music_Theatre --added some nice pics of the venue as well as a couple posters ticket stubs & t-shirts of the event --I left in the original text file here renamed as 'original info'
