View NotesRecording Note: This was an experimental overhead recording from the loft above the stage. The height of the microphones was roughly 4 metres from the stage floor. One cardoid mic was placed over the guitar, roughly perpendicular to the floor and about one meter in front of the amplifier. The bass amp was placed next to the guitar amp and a monitor wedge was next to the keyboard, opposite the guitar and bass amps. This was stage right. The standard Studio Projects T-bar was used. The omni-directional mic was angled toward the center where a large horn served as the main vocal projection. This horn is roughly 50cm in diameter and was placed on a stand at approximately 2 metres height, center stage. The recording microphone was approximately 1 metre forward and one metre stage right of the horn. The drums were stage left, to the rear. The steel pan drum was in front of the drum kit, stage left and the keyboard amp was further to the left and in a corner where the stage left wall recedes a further 40cm at a right angle.
