--Thanks so much to Jerry Moore for recording & sharing his master of this New Riders Of the Purple Sage 1973 show & to Rob Berger for the transfer of it & sharing it out far & wide to us all. Absolutely Appreciated!!  
--Show Times:  early show 8:00pm;  late show 11:00pm
--I added the band members info
--corrected some song titles toward how they appear on the original albums

--this venue opened on 1962-09-23 & was entitled "Philharmonic Hall" from 1962-1973, then "Avery Fisher Hall" from 1973-2015, then currently "David Geffen Hall" (2015-present [2023])
--Despite much research, I could not find the exact date when the name changed from "Philharmonic Hall" to "Avery Fisher Hall" in 1973, but it seems that it happened very soon after this New Riders Of the Purple Sage 1973-09-05 show as there is record of  a Bruce Springsteen show there on 1973-10-07 (on a triple bill with Bonnie Raitt & Jackson Browne, Jackson Browne the headliner there), so sometime in September or the very beginning of October 1973 they changed the name there...if anyone knows the exact date the name was changed to "Avery Fisher Hall", won't you be so kind as to let us all know??

--added nice pics of the venue & a poster for the gig...note that on the poster the date is incorrectly listed as "Wednesday Evening, September 6, 1973"...that Wednesday was indeed September 5 (if you look it up) & on Thursday, September 6, the New Riders were playing at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY
