Chester's Place, one of Fayetteville's all-time greatest music havens, closed its doors in 2004. Mountain of Venus played the last weekend, and this was their last night to perform at the legendary venue. That is really the story of this show, as the closing of Chester's reverberates through every song, and the audience, on this recording. The MOV part of the show is 173:03 total. DISC 1 (64:17) DISC 2 (63:26) DISC 3 (44:55) * Tanya tells the story about the title "Clear" formerly known as "Midgets at the Buffet" # with Sean Canan from Bockman's Euphio on guitar @ with Danny Carroll from Bockman's Euphio playing a kitchen sink. "What I Want" includes a drums and kitchen sink solo in the middle. + In the middle of "Come Back To Life," Stingray performed an armpit-fart solo, and someone in the audience detonated a stink bomb. $ with Shawn Eckels from Speakeasy on guitar. Shawn and Mike play a wicked dual-lead on this. Tanya says "No Bush in '04" to start the song. Crowd goes ape at the end of "War Pigs." ^ candles were passed out to the audience and placed on stage. Tanya said "Light Beyond the Gray" was written for you guys. < The band and audience sang "And I Bid You Goodnight" in a circle around the stage without amplification. It was about 2:30 AM (well after the two o'clock curfew). Many members of the audience had candles, and did not want to leave. On stage were members of MOV, Speakeasy, Bockman's Euphio, Flipoff Pirates, and many friends. Tanya wept as she led the song. At the very end, Harold Wiettes (who brought all the music to Chester's Place) came to the stage and Tanya said "This guy here has the spirit of music like no other." Thus the final weekend of Chester's Place came to an end. www.mountainofvenus.com www.bockmanseuphio.com www.speakeasyband.com www.dgold.info An Honest Tune magazine
