Flames Beyond the Cold Mountain 02. A Heart Has Asked for the Pleasure 03. Lost Snow 04. Yearning 05. Moonlight 06. Halcyon (Beautiful Days) (Taken from emptybottle.com) Japanese experimental rock group MONO have six albums to their credit, an uncompromising catalog of work that explores both traditional classical and rock music, reconfiguring both to create warmly atmospheric compositions that are both cerebral and hypnotic. Their newest release, Palmless Prayer/Mass Murder Refrain, was issued by Temporary Residence late last year, a collaborative effort with WORLD'S END GIRLFRIEND. WEG will also perform here, a Japanese band fronted by KATSHUHIKO MAEDA. His work is difficult to get here in the US, but the limited bits of material we've heard suggests an otherwordly post rock sound that is quite compelling. Temporary Residence labelmates THE DRIFT will open, a group that "combines elements of rare groove, dub, out jazz, and more esoteric leanings that conjure a unique musical space free of traditional confines, simultaneously frenetic and sublime." They'll be playing material from their latest release, Noumena. These are 24-bit files. These cannot be burned to CD. Please refer to the 16-bit version of this recording for burning to CD. Thanks!
