24bit Audience recording Taped and transferred by jamroom - JAM454 Band members: Stuart Braithwaite - Guitar, Vocals Barry Burns - Guitar, Keyboards, Bass, Vocoder Dominic Aitchison - Bass, Guitar Alex Mackay - Guitar, Keyboards, Percussion Cat Myers - Drums (touring replacement for Martin Bulloch) Aidan Moffat - Santa Gig Notes: Ride and Sacred Paws were supporting, though I missed Sacred Paws. It was ambitious of Mogwai to play the Hydro, being a 13,000 capacity venue, so it was probably somewhere around half full, maybe a little more? I don't know. Bit of an epic Xmas show with the big stage light show and all. Even had Santa warning the kids to be good as an intro (Aidan Moffat). Recording notes and sound quality: Recorded from in front of the soundboard, which was near the rear of the standing section. Sounded decent at the gig, but the bass seemed to be lacking on the recording, so just a touch of EQ to bring some of it back. Additionally, the first four songs appear to have been at a lower volume to the rest of the show, so I boosted those by +3db. It's nowhere near a perfect recording, but a decent reminder of the gig, given it was in an arena. band links http://www.mogwai.co.uk/ https://en-gb.facebook.com/mogwai/ https://www.musicglue.com/mogwai-1/ venue link https://www.thessehydro.com/ Please support the band by buying their albums, merch, and by going to see them live. They deserve your cash. Do NOT sell this recording, trade FREELY! No art, make you own. Enjoy!
