B&K4021s (w/windscreens, centered ~40’ from P.A., ~8’ height on t-bar clamped to stand) -> Sound Devices 722 (@24/96; Gain @ 31.1); FLAC File processing in SoundForge 10.0c (volume normalization; light clap removal; resample to 44.1 with iZotope 64-Bit SRC set higher than "Highest Quality" setting w/anti-alias filter; 24->16 bit dither using iZotope MBIT+ Dither with Ultra noise shaping, High dither settings); Tracked in CDWav
Taper Notes:
View NotesFarmer Ben breaks are Honey Combs jingle, Greatest American Hero theme, Three's Company theme Minimized or completely elimiated approx. 8 loud local claps starting at 5:21 in St. Augustine Did my best to eliminate some wind noise during Farmer Ben (using a combination of Sound Forge's "Click And Crackle Removal" and EQ-ing out some of the deep bass frequencies to the small, targeted windy spots (1-2 seconds each). A few artifacts remain as some of the gusts were particularly strong, but it's been mostly minimized. Recorded by Eric Vandercar, who came out of virtual taper retirement to record this for you folks. Mastered and tracked by Scott Bernstein.
