View NotesMy first time back to the newly renovated Beacon since 1978. The old gal looks great. The staff was sue-poib, too. 2 new songs, the al.song was on the setlist as "Scratch," then we got Jen's update -- that it was "Down Dog," and finally, someone who did a great job on the lights, but asked that we don't quote him, so we are not, said, "Downward Facing Dog." Thanks to that guy (whatever his name is) for the visuals, to Steve for his usual stellar work, and to moe., who always pleases and satisfies, the output of new material is very gratifying. Also thanks to Georgie, for her sherpatude; and James, Jen and Doug for being them. Oh yeah, and, finally, we were supposed to get the full McBain Suite tonight, as the listed encore was George. Aw, shucks.
