Mastering in Soundforge Audio Studio 9.0c - volume normalization and 48->44.1 sample rate conversion with interpolation accuracy 4, anti-alias filter. All file manipulation in Soundforge done at 24 bits, then dithered back to 16 bits using highpass triangular dither algorithm with high pass contour noise shaping. Tracked in CDWav.
Taper Notes:
View Notes* = Spaz Medicine teases ~10 minutes in Rebubula ^ = 7 Chinese Brothers (REM) teases ~@3:03 $ = w/crazy vocal jams (including singing math equations!), Inca Roads tease # = Josie (Steely Dan) jam w/Chuck singing the lyrics on talkbox ~@1:40, "Peter Gunn" theme tease = = w/Al on lap steel Taper notes: THIS SHOW WILL MELT YOUR BRAIN! I challenge you to see if your brain is still functional after the Moth->Meat segue -- I don't think it's possible....Between all of the crazy song teases/jams, the vocal jams, the incredibly long versons of many of the tunes, and the interesting setlist wrapping things up perfectly with an over-the-top Bearsong, this is definitely brings back a LOT of great memories. Eric Vandercar & I tried a little experiement at this show -- mixing the soundboard with his mics and about 3 other sets of mics, which defintiely lends a unique and really "live" sound to this show. I hope you enjoy!!! This is BARN5 -- the 5th installment of the "Bernstein Archive Restoration" -- my personal archive restoration series of rescuing the music (much of it unheard anywhere outside of my apartment since it was recorded!). As part of my archive restoration process, I'm trying to uncover classic moe. shows that I have recorded that are not currently available on archive.org, and this is one such significant show. The previous installments in the series have been Col Bruce Hampton And The Code Talkers 9/17/05, Col Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit w/Warren Haynes 11/20/93, moe 7/8/95, and Dan Bern @ The Bottom Line 7/31/98 (late show). Coming soon: Dan Bern 8/1/98, moe 1/20/96, moe 9/7/95.
