View Notes12/03/2012 Location updated from Norris,MN to Morris,MN This tape was kindly sent to me back in the late '90s by Michael H. I hope he doesn't mind my cribbing from the informative note he included with it: "Karl's is a coffeeshop in Morris (pop. 4000), MN which had Low play for their grand opening. Low played a set on Friday (this show) and another set on Saturday (was not taped). The sound set-up wasn't that good (you hear Alan complaining about the monitors) as you can hear from the tape. Both shows were co-sponsored by our campus convocations committee and the radio station (KUMM)." For a while this was the only tape I'd found with "Sunshine" on it; others have since surfaced, but this is still a nice setlist, with lots of less-commonly-played songs like "Jack Smith" and "Boyfriends & Girlfriends". Sound quality is about 6.5/10 -- far from hi-fi, but certainly listenable, if rather muffled. "Be There" was split over tapesides on my copy, so I put it back together, though there's still a cut later in the song where (I assume) the master tape was flipped. Levels are nice and strong, and shouldn't need any boosting. As a bonus, two promo spots from KUMM were included at the start of the tape, and I've kept them here as well. Enjoy!
