View NotesAn interesting, long Low show from the band's third year. The taper recorded this show from "in front of the left stack"; this helped to cut out some of the audience noise, but I suspect the speaker stack itself wasn't in terrific shape -- it sounds almost like an AM radio broadcast or something, with a suppressed high end and a sort of boxy sound. In terms of sound quality, it's about average -- call it an accurate document, and leave it at that. The same taper was responsible for the Emo's show the following year (April 18), which is a very clean soundboard. As for the performance, it's got a generous setlist with a few curveballs, including a very early (and short) "Do You Know How To Waltz?", an abbreviated "Lazy", and a rare "Tired". The band is in good spirits, playing for an appreciative (if noisy) audience. Have a listen and see what you think! Thanks to the taper, M.W., for sharing this tape with me. This is the first of three consecutive Texas shows from Sept. 1995 that were recorded -- all credit to the folks who put in the effort to document these early performances.
