Taper Notes:
View Notes* = Originally Recorded By Prince & The Revolution. Ive been to the outdoor stage at RFL a few times but have never taped. This show was planned outside, but due to low ticket sales, it was moved indoors. It was 90+ outside at showtime, so I'll take it. The indoor space is capped around 1200 w/ the outdoors at 3500. I wont say how many were there, but it was well below 1200. By the time Local H finished, it was even less. I positioned my stand behind a table elevated next to the main floor directly in line with the right stack. From the floor, the drums and guitar were much louder with the vocals being nearly perfect. However, from the side (where my rig was positioned), the vocals were very high with the guitar lower. I watched from the mainfloor towards the center, which is why I can comment on this. It doesnt sound bad, it just doesnt sound as good as it could have. When Scott screams, it can be a bit much, so I hard limited some of those screams making this an easier listen. Huge thanks to Gabriel and his lovely wife Lisa for allowing me to hoist my rig directly behind their table. "We'll take a swing at Prince, but not Dolly Parton." - SL Opening for Soul Asylum.
