View Notes* = Originally Recorded By Guided By Voices. Before tickets for the 2 Metro shows went onsale, there were a small number of weekend passes made available. Purchasing the weekend pass granted you access to a special private acoustic set Saturday afternoon. There were only 100 passes made available and they sold out in 2 minutes. On the recording itself, instead of using traditional speaker stacks on each side of the stage, the sound came from the front of the stage. The front row was reserved for family and the 2nd and 3rd quickly became filled. I then got the best I could towards stage left in the 2nd row. Im not entirely happy with the recording, but it is what it is. The JBTV audio should be much better when it sees official release later in 2016. Scott Lucas: guitar, lead vocals. Joe Daniels: bass, backing vocals. Ryan Harding: guitar, backing vocals. (tracks 5 & on) Gabe Rodriguez: drums. This concert was professionally filmed by Chicago's JBTV with a release date pending later this year. View Notes* = Featuring Ryan Harding on bass. "As Good As Dead" was released on Tuesday, April 16th, 1996. To celebrate what some refer to as their most seminal record, Local H booked 2 very special shows in their home venue in their home city -- where it all started to celebrate the release. To amp up the excitement level, 2 weeks prior to the shows it was announced the original drummer and co-founder, Joe Daniels would be back in the fold. The shows quickly sold out becoming one of the toughest tickets in Chicago that month. This concert was professionally filmed by Chicago's JBTV with a release date pending later this year.
