This is the longest, loosest and most enjoyable of the four, which is saying a lot. One look at the set list was all I needed. I mean, The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down AND Dixie chicken? That is the best of both worlds, Feat and Band, and only one example. Deep Elem Blues should be well known to Deadheads; it's a regular for the Midnight Ramble Band, and Larry Campbell nails it as he does throughout. His slide playing on Church Falling Down is a thing of beauty. David Bromberg steps up with Junco Partner, a song Warren Zevon used to cover but not like this. Willin'has Larry's fiddle and beautiful vocals from Amy Helm and Teresa Williams. And the inevitable Weight finale has everyone singing their hearts out. The matrix sound to my ears is at least good as the previous Jamaica shows. Must-have is an overused term, but if any show deserves it, it's this one.
