View Notes- 12th Annual Feat Fan Excursion "Ramble On The Island" with Little Feat featuring Craig Fuller, The Midnight Ramble Band, Jorma Kaukonen and David Bromberg - * w/ Craig Fuller on vocals - ^ w/ Teresa Williams and Amy Helm - # w/ Vince Herman on vocals - % w/ David Bromberg on vocals - $ w/ Larry Campbell on vocals - entire set with Larry Campbell and Craig Fuller - & Erik Lawrence - sax, Steven Bernstein - slide trumpet, Lou Marini - sax Featroller comment: Jamaica-fest 2014 was missing Paul Barrere, but added a stellar lineup of collaborators: Craig Fuller, Vince Herman, David Bromberg and much of the Midnight Ramble Band. What a mix it turned out to be! Highlights include Teresa Williams and Amy Helm beautifully singing Roll Um Easy, Vince Herman's rollicking take on the rare Hamburger Midnight, and David Bromberg getting funky with Down on the Farm. What a joy to hear consummate musician Larry Campbell putting on the slidin' shoes. It's fascinating to hear his playing on songs like Easy To Slip and Roll Um Easy. And he plays a mean violin! The horn section is great on tunes like Honest Man. It's a big band sound and it sounds wonderful, thanks to Chris and Alex. It's up there with the best audience recording's you'll hear.
