View NotesThe originating source can be found here Editor's Comments: Although this is originally a mono recording, the two channels are in fact quite different: The left channel exhibits a better S/N ratio and less damage than the right channel. The right channel exhibited periodic clicking caused by some dust particles on the tape head (now repaired). However, taken together, the two channels balance each other out somewhat because of the sight differences in frequency response and despite the slight phase wobble on the old tape. The improvement here boils down to the repair of the periodic clicking and the phase correction which focuses and centers the stereo image. Restored by plaz: - corrected DC Offset errors - concatenated tracks to 2 fragments corresponding to the two sets - phase offset correction: +0.07 msec (left channel trailed by an average of 3 samples [+0.0675 +|- 0.007 msec]) - repaired periodic clicks and a few drop-outs in the right channel - repaired a few pops, some crackle and a few drop-outs and gain fluctuations in both channels - gain normalized and tracked Acknowledgements: Thanks to The Flying M, the original seeder and editor. Many thanks to Prof. Goody for his invaluable input, and to Alex Ford for providing the SHN-IDs and putting the restored versions in this series up on the LMA. Thanks to this great band for making such wonderful music in the first place; such great song-writing and playing.

View NotesThe tape runs out just before the next song starts. That was it for the recording but the show continued on. What a great band. Source: Recorded by Allen Tarzwell Sony Microphone > Sony TC-50 > Lafayette Criterion C90 (x 1) Transfer: Nakamichi CR-7A (azimuth aligned to tape, no Dolby, Bias @ 120us) > Korg MN-2000S 1 Bit DFF @ 2.822 MHz > AudioGate (24-96) > Audacity (minor editing - dropouts, bumps, pops, loud clapping and splices) > AudioGate (16-44) > CD Wav > TLH (Flac Level 8) > Stamp ID3 tag editor Thanks to my friend Allen for loaning me his master cassettes. Some of Allen's tapes were shared around in the 1970's. Since then his masters have been resting quietly tucked away in his music room. This is the first time the master has been digitized and it can now be shared with Little Feat fans everywhere. Some tape dropouts were removed and some clapping was minimized by removing very loud claps individually. Tape flip was spliced together at 45:03 with no music lost. Recording ends before the concert (a single 90 minute tape is all). Not the best sounding recording, but very decent and this is from the master cassette. For historical reference only and not intended for resale or any commercial use. Enjoy -M- Flying M Productions (Dec 2011) FAN RECORDINGS FOR COLLECTORS TRADE FREELY BUT PLEASE DO NOT SELL
