Thirty-Two 8. Twenty-Eight 9. Twenty Karma to Burn are: Daniel Davies - Guitar, Vocals on * Rich Mullins - Bass Will Meccum - Guitar Rob Oswald - Drums Lineage: zoom HD (internal mics)->Apacec SD Card->WAV 16/48- Sony Sounde Forge (Fades In/Out, Volume adjust to 3.8 db)- WAV 16/44.1->TLH->Flac (Level 8) Notes: 40 minute opening set for The Sword. It was my "off night" and all I brought was the zoom and a small tripod. The only spot for it to really be looked after where I didn't have to do it was the soundboard, way in back of the venue about 30 feet from the stage. Good thing the acoustics in Smalls are a little boomy and really reach the whole building. The recording sounds very full. I'd give is a solid B+, possible A-. The one major differance in this tour is that Daniel Davies is now playing the entire set with them, including all instrumentals on 2nd guitar. Karma to Burn were never a band that needed a "fuller" sound, their a 3 man wall of sound. However I think his playing really enhanced the show, it didn't make it "heavier," but more dynamic and richer. Stellar performance, if only it were twice as long. 3 new songs, 2 with vocals and names, and number "47."
