DAUD 4 mic post mix: {([2] AKG c460/a60/ck22 (split ~ 10', hung from rafters above stage lip) ->'vintage' mod. pre-amps) + ([2] AKG c452eb/a51/ck1 (~DIN, clamped to rafter DFC above dance floor) -> Aerco MP2 -> 'transparent' channels -> Busman V/T mod. Edirol R-4 Pro @ 24bit/44.1khz
Lineage:
Busman V/T mod. Edirol R-4 Pro -> PowerBook G4/Digital Performer 5.1 (-24dB/octave hpf @ ~ 93hz on AKG 452 source* tracks w/ MasterWorks EQ plug-in, set 4 track mix; Bounce to Disc w/ plug-ins on master fader: Dynamics v3.3 (light compression), Masterworks EQ (-1.6dB lsf @ ~ 107hz); Trim v4.3 (peak normalize)) split tracks) -> .aiff -> xACT v1.58 -> FLAC (level 8)
Taper Notes:
View NotesLive sound and PA mix by Josh Osmond *The AKG 452 source was clamped directly to one of the rafters DFC @ ~ 12' high. At this height, the rafters and metal framing unfortunately trapped a lot of low end resonance, especially below ~ 90hz. A steep high pass filter @ ~ 93hz of -24dB/octave was set on each AKG 452 track to take out the extreme resonance, while the AKG 460 omni source was left flat pre-mix to supply the low end of the frequency band.
