View Notes* Beatles cover, first time played Show #2 of the band's "GVsTer" weekend. Afternoon family-friendly singalong set. Some singalong parts arranged with assistance from members of the UVM Cat's Meow a cappella group (Kerry Brosnan, Brigitte Durieux, and Rachel Rubenstein). Because of the nature of the singalong, I opted to run my microphones low in order to capture more audience than I typically do. Adam and Ryan also took advantage of the situation to roam as they played, taking their music to all parts of the church floor. As a result, I had the extreme fortune to have them play directly next to my microphones for most of Jesus On The Radio. Such a powerful moment to experience them both so close up, performing in the middle of an admiring crowd. In order to assist with the singalong, the band projected the lyrics onto the wall of the church behind them. For the most part, words came from official or quasi-official sources, but Hey Jude was copy/pasted from a lyrics site, which became obvious near the end when the crowd started laughing. The web site in question had included the decidedly NOT family-friendly interjection "Whoa, fucking hell!" near the end, courtesy of John Lennon and a studio mishap.
